Congrats on the 60 Minutes spot! I have been reading the blog awhile, and was suprised when I saw EmployeeEvolution.com on my TV. I was waiting for The Amazing Race to come on.

Great job on 60 minutes Ryan! I especially agree with your comment lifestyle and friends before work. Yes, of course that's the way you should look at life. A life without lifestyle is not living at all. Anyway it was a great surprise to see you.

When I saw the intro for the 60 minutes spot I knew either you, Ryan Paugh and/or Penelope were probably going to be on. It was certainly exciting to see you and the site on t.v.

Great job guys on getting on 60 Minutes!

However, I was offended the way they generalized our generation. Our generation doesnt know how to punch a time clock? Is not used to deadlines? Do not react well to criticism? Have parents call both college professors AND managers/HR?! Us wanting our boss to call our parents to tell them we are doing a good job?! Are they kidding me?

I felt they generalized us as a generation of pampered kids unfit to backfill those professionals of previous generations….but I guess that is the way it has always worked in the past. Baby Boomers to Gen X to Millenials.

Great interview Ryan! I don't really watch TV much but I watched the clip online. I never thought of myself as being "coddled" and having to talk to mommie all the time (she let me be independent) but I do relate with the needing praise and having family and friends as the priority.

Thanks for all of the comments. I'm not in love with the way millennials were portrayed in the segment as praise craving narcissists, but they got some of it right. And who knows, maybe this will be a step in the right direction toward making work, and life, a little more enjoyable.

I have to admit I was a little nervous filming the interview, thankfully I didn't come across as too big of a clown!

I, too, was not completely happy about the tone of the piece, but your interview in particular was engaging. You also showed the fact that we as a generation are aware of the generalizations, and that we have embraced a self-depricating humor about it.

Congrats, Ryan. I will have to check out the interview when I get a few minutes.

Millennial? If I saw what I thought I saw, Safer says we have to "adjust" to the mindset of these spoiled brats. Just like the laws of the land dictate that I must learn a foreign language so that I can communicate with the immigrants that share the U.S.A. with me. As far as I'm concerned, all these Millys can just learn to adjust to the work place like the good folks that made this country what it is today. If they can't or won't let them hit the bricks! There's plenty more right behind them looking for work.
